Modality and Approach
Having lived and studied abroad from a young age, I bring both personal insight and professional understanding to the complexities of life between cultures. Balancing multiple identities and navigating constant transitions can feel like a lot to manage, especially while also adjusting to new cultures, pursuing academic and professional goals, and maintaining relationships across distances. My background helps me create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported as you explore your path, build confidence, and cultivate a sense of belonging.

My approach to therapy is wellness-oriented, person-centered and holistic. Rather than focusing solely on problems or diagnoses, I see the individuals I support through a lens of growth, resilience, and possibility. Challenges are only one part of your story and they do not define you. I aim to create space for you to rediscover your strengths and imagine what wellness looks like for you. In practice, I tailor therapy to your unique needs, drawing on evidence-based methods such as ACT, CBT, DBT, and EMDR, while also integrating creative arts to make the process engaging, rewarding and meaningful.
Clinical Experience
My clinical journey began at Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where I participated in conducting a NASA-funded research on mindfulness and stress reduction for astronauts, as well as mind-body treatments for pregnant women and 9/11 responders with PTSD & respiratory illness. This early work inspired me to support clients directly as a Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (dTMS) technician at Stony Brook Hospital, assisting those with treatment-resistant depression. Building on this foundation through advanced education and training in counseling psychology, I now integrate the latest evidence-based approaches into therapy that blends scientific knowledge with compassion and understanding. Before founding Kind Space Mental Health Counseling, I served as clinical director and psychotherapist, working closely with individuals, couples, and families in community clinics and private practices to help clients navigate life’s challenges, strengthen resilience, and foster meaningful connections.
Being in Therapy With Me is Like...
Stepping into therapy with me, you’ll find a calm and steady space where your thoughts and feelings are met with full attention, empathy, and kindness. I’m here to support you through periods of stress, uncertainty, or emotional strain, offering reliability and a compassionate presence as we navigate them together. Our conversations are authentic, emotionally attuned, and always held in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

Here, your unique experiences and ways of being are fully acknowledged and honored. Clinical concerns are approached with expertise and warmth, creating a space where you feel genuinely supported throughout your healing journey. You’ll leave each session feeling more grounded, confident, and capable of navigating life’s challenges. That sense of clarity, emotional ease, and self-compassion will stay with you beyond the therapy room.
Behind The Therapy
When I’m not in session, I love diving into a good mystery novel or experimenting with indoor vegetable gardening. My little home “farm” has quickly become my favorite way to unwind. I’m always amazed at how tending to these tiny plants can be so soothing and restorative.
