Modality and Approach
Growing up in a bi-cultural household, I know what it’s like to navigate family expectations while finding my own path as a first-generation Asian-American. Balancing personal goals with cultural responsibilities, figuring out your own path while honoring your heritage, and navigating family dynamics can feel overwhelming. My background helps me connect with and support multicultural individuals as they explore generational conflicts, relationships, and the tension between personal ambitions and cultural values.

I offer an integrative, person-centered approach with a multicultural lens, blending psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and acceptance-based techniques. Together, we explore how past experiences shape your present, identify patterns holding you back, and develop practical tools for growth.

I deeply value the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful change. Built on trust, respect, and collaboration, this safe space allows you to discover your strengths, resilience, and the ability to navigate life’s challenges. Whether facing self-identity questions, family pressures, or major life transitions, I provide culturally responsive guidance to help you gain self-understanding, confidence, and a life aligned with your values.
Clinical Experience
My clinical expertise is grounded in rigorous academic and professional training, including a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Stony Brook University; a study abroad experience at the City University of Hong Kong, which enhanced my understanding of cross-cultural mental health, family dynamics, and identity development; and a MA in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University, where I received comprehensive training to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Since 2019, I have provided psychotherapy to children, teens, and adults in both community mental health and private practice settings, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem challenges, relational difficulties, and life transitions. I specialize in supporting teens and young adults navigating the pressures of school, career, and identity formation. My practice emphasizes cultural competence, working with clients from diverse backgrounds to address the complexities of multiple cultural identities and intergenerational expectations. In addition to direct clinical work, I serve as a clinical supervisor, providing individual and group supervision and consultation to pre-licensed clinicians to support their professional development and clinical skills.
Being in Therapy With Me is Like...
Being in therapy with me is a space where you can truly be yourself, without fear of judgment. It’s a place where your stories (big or small, lighthearted or heavy) are welcomed and seen. We can talk about the recipes you tried this week or the TV shows you’ve been bingeing, to deeper conversations about how your relationships with your family have shaped your sense of self.

I bring honesty and warmth to our conversations, gently challenging your thoughts while holding a steady, compassionate presence. My space is soft, kind, and real. It’s a place where we can talk about serious topics, while still finding moments of lightness and laughter. Here, you can breathe, reflect, and be met with understanding as you explore who you are and who you want to become.
Behind The Therapy
Behind the therapy, I’m honestly just a big couch potato. Give me a comfy bed, a snack, and a TV show, and I’ll be perfectly happy for hours. We all need a way to decompress, am I right? I also love walking. I hate exercise, but I love walking. Music on, AirPods in, letting the world fade for a bit while I ground myself. My favorite walking destination? Target. I can wander the aisles for the longest time and would challenge myself not to come out with a million random things. And when I need a little extra lift in my spirit, I belt out songs at the top of my lungs completely off-key. It releases my stress instantly. These are the moments that keep me centered and make life feel a little lighter.
